I have just finished Inside the House of Money by Steven Drobny. It is a book of interviews with traders along the lines of Market Wizards, but all of the traders in there are macro trades (though not all of them like the term). The best interviews are the first one, with Jim Leitner, and the last, with “The Currency Specialist: Anonymous”.

The book was good for my confidence, because as in Market Wizards the traders stressed the importance of temperament — running winners, cutting losers, not getting too emotional, and so on and so on. So far, I seem to have the right temperament. But there is no time to be smug: I still need to 1) improve my trading technique and 2) be right about some things.
