A curious undirected day today, with lots of reading of papers and articles and further refinement of the market personality page. My AUD/JPY trade is going against me at present — risk assets are also rising, but AUD/JPY seems to have risen the most — perhaps the JPY is not shrugging off the Hatoyama resignation as easily as I expected. EUR/GBP, my other open position, is flat today.

I watched David Cameron’s first exchange with Harriet Harman. Brilliant.

I am having a bit of a debate with coffee. It says that it keeps me alert and able to work all through the day. I say that that is true, but it can also make me tense and edgy. I think it is the reason for a general tenseness that I am starting to find annoying.
